The Union of Concerned Scientists maintains that 18 days of solar irradiation on Earth contain the same amount of accumulated energy as all the world’s reserves of coal, oil, and natural gas.

Solar energy is an essential element of a sustainable energy system that allows present development without jeopardizing that of future generations.
